Most Americans know little about homeopathy and are skeptical at best until they have used it. I became a believer when I gave my white Persian bryonia for oversized burnt like stools-the higly diluted tablets worked when nothing else had!Can't call that a placebo effect. When my schnauzers were given Rescue Remedy-a Bach flower remedy-for the first time in four months,my Morgy who was diagnosed with bone cancer-stretched out-again no placebo effect. When I fell on my face and chipped two teeth -in desperation I bought arnica montana 30c tablets-I was not a believer-aspirin and other pain killers didn't work-within five minutes-my head cleared up-you might call that a placebo effect-but again I was not a believer that highly diluted substances could do anything. Also as more of us use homeopathic remedies for our furballs..and see the results..at least people's argument that homeopathy only works because of the PLACEBO effect-will be squashed big time! Some alternative vets are also beginning to try to collect data re the effectiveness of nosodes over vaccinations. Dr. Goldstein in his book even questions whether some vaccinations are causing aggressive and also fear of lightning and thunder-he makes the point of saying that animals have always lived in nature and were never afraid of the elements!
